God’s Spirit In You

fullsizeoutput_132The Spirit that was there in the beginning, the Spirit of God that hovered above the waters and carried out the command of the Father that said, “Let there be light… Let us make Man in Our image and likeness… Male and Female He created them.”

That Creative, Life-giving Spirit dwells inside of you!

That Power of God that came down from Heaven like a dove and descended upon God’s Beloved Son Jesus. A Power that healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf and speech to the mute, that power is in You. That great power that commanded the winds and the waves and provided for the multitudes; that authority is in you. The Power of God that restored lepers and casted out demons out of bound men, women and children by a word.  That great gift belongs to you child of God.

Inside of you lies that Spirit that defeated Death, Hell and the Grave. That same Spirit that raised our crucified Savior Jesus Christ back to life. That Love and Mercy that brings salvation, hope and eternal life to whosoever believes in the One who laid down His life. The only One qualified to shed His blood, take our place and our sinfulness and give us His Righteousness. That Life-Changing, Mountain Moving, Resurrection Love is in you.

That Word that was in the beginning, that shaped the cosmos and walked this earth with healing in His wings. That force that fought died and rose because of love. That Unfailing Love that made its home in the hearts of those who belong to Him, transforming them into New Creations. That Power, Force and Transforming Spirit, His Wisdom and Grace Lives and Breathes in You.

Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world. Greatness is in you Child of God. The Father’s Love, Favor and goodness is in you “For I am with you,’ says the Lord, ‘to save you’.” (Jeremiah 30:11) God your Father is with you and for you, so who or what can be against you. Be encouraged, you are more than a conqueror.

One of God’s Trees

For the Lord has planted them like strong and graceful oaks for His own glory.” Isaiah 61:3NLT

Scripture says that a person who delights in the Lord, “are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each without fail. Their leaves never wither, and in all they do, they prosper.” –psalm 1:3. This tree is a picture of the believer in Christ and the confidence that we should have in Him. This is the Father’s desire for you to walk this walk with boldness. To live life knowing that if God is for you who can be against you. What storm, challenge, heartbreak, set-back, what weapon on earth can form against you if God is with you.

So why are we able to bear fruit during a time of famine or have hope when all seems hopeless? Because Heaven’s Best dwells inside of you!

Jesus’ personal prayer for you: “My prayer for all of them is that they will be one, just as you and I are one, Father- that just as you are in Me and I am in You, so they will be in us, and the world will believe You sent me.” –john 17:21

To be God’s Tree is to be one that is in Christ who is in the Father which makes us one with Them, a brilliant display of God’s glory for the world to see.   I want you to see yourself as blessed no matter what your situation may be. Picture yourself as this tree deeply rooted in Christ and richly watered by His Holy Spirit as God’s Living Word unveils why you should walk this walk in Christ with boldness.

“But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water . Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought . Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.” – jeremiah 17:7-8

This is a pic of you in Christ infused with the Holy SpiritYou are in Christ and in Christ you will never see decay. You’re not dismayed by this world or the challenges you face because you’re a child of God a child of Hope, God Himself is on your side. Doors that should have been sealed shut are opened for you. The pain and suffering that should have destroyed you works out for your good and His glory. The impossible is possible for you.

In Christ, you are blessed. The world will fall away but you have eternity to look forward to, you are eternal. In a time of war and chaos, you will have peace because God fights for you. In a time of famine you will experience great abundance because God is your provider and King. While the world is suffering an economic and social drought you will be a bearer of much fruit because God has made you a minister of His truth and you have lives to save. Even as the storms in your life rages on and your world appears to be spiraling out of control your leaves will not wither, your fruit will not see decay.

When all seems dark, He will be the light that leads the way because He is your Father, you are His child. You will have joy and  prosper in the midst of it all because  You chose His Son, your hope even that mustard seed of hope, confidence and trust, you chose to plant it in Christ. That is what makes You  a child of God, one of God’s beloved trees planted in His Son, a brilliant work of art , in a world so dark, displayed for His glory.

Greater is He

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.”1 John 4:4 KJV

Within you, child of God is the Holy Spirit of our Lord Jesus Christ and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty, your complete freedom. So let’s meditate on this verse for just a bit. Greater is the Spirit of the Lord that resides in you than the sins of this world. Let’s use that name that is above all names (Philippians 2:10), greater is Jesus Christ that is inside of you than that sickness and lack that is of this world.

Greater is Jesus who is in you than your addictions, your pain, your guilt, your problems with your spouse, your children, that boss of yours who doesn’t appreciate you, those co-workers who undermine you. Greater is He that loves and provides for you out of His riches and glory, than the job or the house you lost. Greater is Christ the true healer, than the disease you were just diagnosed with. Greater is Christ that placed that dream and vision for your life inside of you, than those doubts that keep you from moving forward. Greater is Christ in you…Who’s greater than your fear, greater than your battles.

For Christ took your sickness, He took your heartbreak, He took your guilt and shame, He took your addiction. Christ took your poverty, He took your lack, Christ who was rich became poor for your sake2 Co 8:9. Christ took your stress, He took it all and He nailed it to the cross. He did it so that He can reside in you and fill your heart with joy, purpose, His peace, and a love that is beyond measure.

Sometimes we we lose sight of what Christ did for us. We are saved, we are forgiven, sin has no dominion over us, this world has no dominion over us! I have the seal of the King of Kings upon me, even when I lose my way, when I’m weak in my faith, I can still boldly step into throne of Grace. God says that in my weakness He wants me to come to Him Matthew 11:28. I should never think that I am too broken, or be too ashamed to pray to Him.

I may trip up in this world but I have a Savior dwelling inside of me that will keep me from stumbling. When the walls feel like they are closing in around you, when that problem you’re wrestling with overwhelms you. Let this verse play like a love song in your heart…

Greater is He, Greater is Christ, Greater is the Love that is in you, fighting for you, than this world that fights against you. Greater is He.

What’s in a Name

While studying the books of Genesis and Exodus I divinely came across a beautiful revelation hidden in the names. Oftentimes while reading the word we take no thought to the names of the people in the story or we get to the “begot” section of the word, that long list of names detailing the descendants of the key person of the chapter and though we don’t mean to, we skim over or even skip the names to move on to the “relevant” stuff. Okay, perhaps you have never done this but I know I have.

One day God reminded me that the bible is “His Story” and He doesn’t waste words, every verse, every thought, every word has a purpose, it shouldn’t be discarded. So with that thought in mind a beautiful message was revealed to me. As I was reading I noticed a reoccurring theme, God would often say, I am the God of your father Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. In some books God would say, I am the God of Israel. (Gen. 28:13, Ex. 3:6, Ruth 2:12) So that led me to look up the Hebrew meaning of these names and this is what I found.

Abraham means Father of the Multitude (this is like a picture of God, a Father to us all)

Isaac means Laughter (a sign of Joy)

Jacob means Supplanter (this means to be a substitute or take the place of)

Israel means One who has power with God (a picture of Jesus Christ)

This is the message I pulled out of this:

It is the Joy of our Father to be our substitute and take our place through His Son Jesus Christ.pink rose

A story within a story, God’s story, hidden in the names of our spiritual forefathers. How great is our God. I believe that these are some of the hidden treasures God left for us to find. He did promise in His own words, “For nothing is secret that will not be revealed, nor anything hidden that will not be known and come to light.” Luke 8:17 nkjv

To all the Shakespeare lovers I do apologize for the title, but I just had to share what  God revealed to me and that is that there is much to be found in a name. 🙂 God bless you.

Who Am I: A New Year Revelation

As you all know in the beginning there was God and His Spirit hovered above the waters. God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit said, Let Us make Man in Our own image and likeness and give them dominion over the earth and all that inhabit it. So God created Male and Female in His image and likeness.

In Genesis 2 the Lord God formed the Man from the dust of the ground (the earth).  Let’s stop there and meditate on that.  Create and Form have two different meanings.

To Create means to bring something new into existence.

To Form means to give shape to an existing substance.

So my question is this what being, male and female, did God create on the 6th day?  Here’s a couple of clues:

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew[a] you.” –Jeremiah 1:5

“Your eyes saw my unformed body.” –Psalm 139:16

The Sixth day Being

A Spirit Being made in the image and likeness of God. A being whom He sees and has taken the time to know.  Please Note*God created the Spirit being on the 6th day but no date was given for the Formed being. Also Note*  God gave dominion to the Spirit being, He placed the formed being in the finished work to carry out His will on earth (I encourage you to research this for yourself ).   Could it be that this is the greater part of me, the eternal me, the real me? So who am I? I am a Spirit Being, the material and essence of God, clothed in the very earth that He gave me dominion over. I am created to receive Him and function in Him and I am formed to carry out His Finished work. A Spirit being clothed in a designer earth suit that’s who we are.

Now Christ shed His Righteous blood for us and all power and authority has been given to Him and because of His sacrifice those of us who have confessed Christ can celebrate a new birth and gift of a resurrected spirit and body in Christ. We have Christ, Heaven’s Best, dwelling on the inside of us, co-laboring with us on this earth. So be bold and confident in this New Year  knowing that He that is in you is greater than he (anything or weapon that forms against you) that is in this world. Designed and Destined for greatness…This is who you are.

Happy New Year

When You Don’t Know What To Pray

I was pulling into my driveway the other day when my son ran toward me and said, “Mom, Nana is in the emergency room they think she had a heart attack!” Immediately I backed up and hurried to the hospital. If you’ve read some of my earlier post you’d know that I have seen my mom through breast cancer, chemo and radiation and it was prayer that got us through. On my way to the hospital I found that I could not pray. I didn’t know what to say or how to express what was on my heart… I was in shock. So I began to speak in tongues and I repeated the words that came out of my mouth over and over again until I pulled into the hospital parking lot. I have to admit I don’t speak in tongues often and  I do not have the gift of interpreting tongues so I have no idea what I said but afterwards what I felt was like a heavy rainfall of peace that covered me from head to toe. I walked into the emergency room feeling confident that everything will be alright, and it was. Thank God my mom didn’t have a heart attack it was an anxiety attack. She’s doing much better now and is recovering at home, glory to God!

This morning I was watching one of my favorite TV ministers and he was teaching out of Romans 8:26-27 which reads, “In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And He who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.” Hearing this word just reminded me that our God is a loving provider , He is so awesome and so faithful. God knows what we need even before we have a need. When we’re feeling  weak and lost we can depend on His strength and guidance. God loves us with an everlasting love and He will faithfully provide you with all that you need and more including the “right” words when you don’t know what to pray.

A Prayer for Peace

The word of God says, that “Whoever believes in Me, as Scriptures has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” John 7:38. The Scripture goes on to say that this living water that Christ was referring to is the Holy Spirit. Back in June my family and I travelled to Denali Park, Alaska which has the most spectacular mountain views. I told my husband God lives in Heaven but I believe He spends His summers in Alaska that’s how  beautiful the mountains, rivers and valleys of Denali are. Nothing made by Man can compare to what I saw up there.

What captured me the most though was the river. Picture it as life and power in motion, there were times when the river moved with so much force it was if it were on a mission, to touch and fill every object and life force it came into contact with yet with all that power there was a peace about it. That is the Holy Spirit.  This morning I woke up with a desire to be refreshed by Christ and as I was praying to Him I thought about the powerful, yet graceful rivers of Denali and the peace it brought to its environment.

Today I just want to touch and agree with every believer that is out there. May the life and power of the Holy Spirit flow purposefully through your heart. May it touch every member in your household. May this mighty river flow through our homes, our city, our state our country. May it heal hearts, minds and bodies. May it  repair relationships finances and governments.

Holy Spirit flow now to every hospital and touch the patients and staff.  Move throughout the school district today Holy Spirit and  touch and inspire every student, teacher and staff member. Flow through the prison system, heal and repair the lost and the broken, lift and inspire the staff and administrators. Father God may your Holy Spirit touch and fill our World’s  Leaders fill them with a desire to seek You and lean on You, touch their spouses, children and family.

Holy Spirit find those who are lost, comfort those who need comfort, heal those who are broken, give hope to those who’ve lost hope. Father God in the name of Jesus, allow your Holy Spirit to flow mighty in every heart that is seeking you. Renew, rebuild, restore and inspire your people today. Give us a fresh revelation, a fresh vision, dream and purpose, quench our thirst for you  and fill our cups till they overflow today and everyday.  I humbly place this request before you Lord. In Your Son Jesus name. Amen.
