I Am Woman
Contrary to popular belief you are a vital piece to God’s divine plan. Created with divine purpose. Given the power and authority to carry out God’s will here on Earth (Genesis 1:26-28).You are a chosen ambassador, chosen to represent the Kingdom of Heaven. You are Man’s helper, yes a much-needed helper (Genesis 2:18) and though this word has been used to devalue you, you wear the title proudly because you know that a helper is someone who is stronger or as strong as. Smarter or as smart as the person you are trying to help. You are not the weaker link.
You Have the Trust of God
You are trusted by God. Trusted to carry, nurture and protect God’s most precious creation, [life], trusted to carry His only begotten Son. Yes the child-bearing process is painful but you are incredibly strong and able to bear this burden. Contrary to popular belief it is not a Man’s world. You are a daughter of Abraham Luke 13:16, a
mother of nations Gen.17:16 and co-heir with Christ. His blood, His Spirit, His peace and abundant life, your inheritance, it was rightly given to you too. Numbers 27:7
You Are A Powerhouse
You are a powerhouse my Proverb 31 sister. Able to make and close deals. Successfully raise the next generation (Virtuous Wife). Lead an army (Deborah), lobby before kings and intercede for a nation (Queen Esther). You are a powerful and influential woman able to save a nation or topple a government (Delilah, Jezebel, Herodias and Salome). By the way ladies this is a power we need to keep in check use them for good not evil (smile!).Contrary to popular belief you are more than a pretty face, more than your sensual curves. You are a warrior, a minister [Many women minister to Jesus: Luke 8], a teacher, a passionate deliverer of the good news. Come; see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah? (The Samaritan Woman by the well (John 4:28:30 NIV).
You Are A SuperHero
You are a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a good friend. You are a savvy and smart individual with God’s gift of patience, endurance and selflessness skill-fully embedded inside of you.
So the next time someone tries to devalue you, deny you, limit you or try to ignore the power and the gifts of the Most High inside of you. Remind them who designed you. Chose and trusted to bring forth life through you. Redeemed you and elevated you, you daughter of Abraham, my beautiful Proverb 31 sister. Boldly say to the ones who try to oppose you, I am a daughter of the King of Kings, able to do all things through Christ.
I am Woman.
Fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14). Amen!
Here is a beautiful video that I think everyone woman should see. Enjoy and God Bless!
Curious about Jquery
My hope was to include the Jquery library but had no success. What I will include is a link to the Jquery download.
My Journey with Color and Font
I don’t know how many hours I’ve spent on projects that should have only taken me 30 to 4o minutes if it had not been for the “Font Dance”. You may know the dance, it’s the one where you spend hours trying on different fonts. It’s a dance that can take you into the wee hours of the night, with the hope that you will find the prince charming of all fonts. There are so many fonts to choose from. In Microsoft word there are 255 fonts, oh yes I counted them only to gain an appreciation for Microsoft and how they’ve attempted to simplify my life. My journey with color has led me to fonts on-line where the hunt for the right font can go on for days. I tried Google fonts and to me it is the best so far, I fell in love with the font they advertised on the first page. It’s a font called Tangerine. It was her storybook look that drew me to her. I have a few short stories that I’m working and I think she would be great for my headings. What I appreciate the most about Google fonts is that it displays the load time for each font which is a plus. For me it narrowed down the search. Once I chose the font I wanted to add to my style sheet, it gave me the font family to add to my style sheet and the url link to add to my link that I use to link my external style sheet to my html document.
The other font site I checked out is font squirrel where I found a free sans-serif font for commercial use called Corbert. There are over 1000 fonts to choose from but what I like with both sites is that you could narrow your search down by the style you are looking for. With font squirrel you have to sign up for a free account to download fonts. For me that’s a downside because that means another username and password to memorize. That aside, signing up and downloading the font took less that two minutes.
I did come across a really cool website called creativebloq. It lists the top fonts in the various font styles. What I like about the site is that it lets you view the fonts in action. The site includes images of the fonts used in logos, promos, graphic art designs and posters. Here’s a pick of a font called minx.
The Color Search
So far I’ve only played around with the colors used in Microsoft Expression. It took me awhile to grasp designing a stylesheet and linking my css with my html but I must say, there is a lot to consider when finding the right color. At first I chose colors that I like only to learn that the colors you like may not be visually appealing on a website. With every color choice comes the task of testing the look until you get it right. I haven’t found the colors I’d like to go with just yet. I did notice that colors in the blue-green family are very visually appealing. You could see that with the creativebloq pic. Dark pink/Magenta looks great online too. Those are the colors I’m leaning to That’s all I’ve got for now. Stay tuned for more new discoveries on my web design adventure.
